How much do children know of life these days?
My 30 year old daughter doesn't listen to news, never has ! She says it is too depressing; why should she worry about situations in the world, when she has enough to do dealing with her own life!
Generations back children were in the home more than they are now, and more likely to hear radio or television news, or parents discussing events at the time. Now though, youngsters aren't at home, don't listen to their parents, and don't hear the news. Consequently they are not bothered about current events, global warming, using up vital resources, or taking care to re-cycle. They cannot see an end product that taking such care would promote. Cannot see why they should separate glass from cardboard, from plastic. Big Deal!
Not all of our youth is so un-informed or un-caring. Many are conscientious and make a concerted effort to help their planet!
We need to enlist more youngsters to help us in the fight for this planet's life. Even in any small ways that we can show our youth that they are vital in bringing Peace, Stability and Respite to our Mother Earth, before she suffers too much more abuse at the hands of ruthless people.
Not only are some of our youngsters un-informed and disinterested in our planet, many of the older generation are too.
We need help from everyone if we are ever going to know Peace on this Earthplane. To save Mother Earth's resources, her bounty and her grace, we need plans put in action that will bring about a turn in circumstances resulting in a halt to Her destruction.
My hope is that people will start reading, discussing, e-mailing, writing; whatever it takes to get the message out there that time is running out to redress all that we have put this Earth and her inhabitants through in the past, and secure a better future.
Prayer is always a good idea. Go to your God in prayer and ask for help, incite, pointers as to how we deal with our future to bring about the best result possible for humans, all other life and Mother Earth herself.
It's a big project, but if we all 'chip in' it will be amazing what we can accomplish!
